Continum

Vanderheyden Hall is a nonprofit agency serving children and families. Day, residential, educational, clinical, recreational, health, life skills, and respite programs are provided for children and young adults. Community programs assist families with in-home, "wrap-around services," including respite, education, support, and resources.


Camp

Vanderheyden Hall services nearly 1500 children and families annually from the Capital District and over 30 counties in New York. A staff of approximately 260 work at 19 sites throughout Rensselaer County. Over 100 volunteers support the agency. Funding from governmental agencies is supplemented by individual contributions.

Bell

Vanderheyden Hall's family ranges in age from 6 years old through to adults. Some youths have been abused or neglected, some have learning or developmental disabilities, some have emotional disturbances. Youths are referred voluntarily by individuals or public agencies such as Family Court. Families with children at risk of being placed or who have behavioral or emotional difficulties receive support to help them remain together and healthy.
