Stories from current and former residents:

To Future Residents:

If you find this letter, please know that you are about to be blessed with the presence of many great and humble people!  Each and every person who comes through that front door has a story to tell.  Every person you meet here wants to help you.  How you go about this journey is up to you, but come here with a goal in mind, and a little bit of determination, and I will guarantee that you will leave with the results that you want.  Take the time to open up, and take a little more time to listen to what these great people have to say to you.  You might just learn a thing or two!  And, if you don't learn anything, SHUT UP and listen again!!  Just remember that sometimes the harder we fight for a system that's been in place for so long, the less you will grow, and growth, is a beautiful thing!

Use this time to reflect upon some of the things that you think you could improve upon, and be open to new things.  You never know when blessings can come your way, so always be alert, and find joy in knowing that big things happen in small ways.  That's just the beauty of life.  This may sound like a stupid note, that will either piss you off and make you want to throw it out, but DON'T!!!  (It took me too damn long to write this thing!!)  If you don't want it, fold it up and give it to someone who you think could use it, give it to staff and tell them to keep it, but whatever you do, keep this note safe because it could be useful to some other poor kid who is scared and looking for some answers.

I've given you all the guidelines to doing well here, and what you decide to do with them is up to you like I said before.  Please know that all things work out for the best.  "Faith is a substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things unseen."
